职业背景:

Dr. Shoreibah joined the Birmingham-南部 College faculty after earning her M.B.A. from Indiana University and Ph.D. from The University of South Florida. She taught marketing at The University of South Florida and management at Fort Hays State University. Her research interests focus on the intersection of marketing with social issues in two contexts: integrated marketing communication and personal selling teams.

Her research has been published or presented at national and international avenues, including Industrial Marketing Management, the American Marketing Association Winter Educators' Conference, the Academy of Marketing Science Annual Conference, and the 社会营销 in Public Health Conference.

She is a member of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Society for Marketing Advances. Dr. Shoreibah also has corporate, 特许经营, and non-profit field experience that she draws on to complement her academic work.

BA 201: The Real "Bottom Line": Foundations of Business Thought
Using a variety of classic and contemporary literature, Foundations of Business Thought provides students the opportunity to explore their own and others' perceptions and opinions about business and the role individuals play in organizations—corporate, 创业, 及以后. BA 350: Principles of Marketing

Developing and executing the marketing strategy of a nonprofit organization is a complex process, but is critical if the organization is to effectively compete both with for-profit and with other nonprofit organizations for visibility and funds. BA 499: Entrepreneurship (Senior Capstone in Business)
This team-taught course is designed for students who aspire to become entrepreneurs and for students who aspire to work with entrepreneurs (for example, 会计师, 咨询顾问, 和律师). The course emphasizes the 创业 process, including evaluating opportunities, 启动新企业, and managing the new business. The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the entire 创业 process and in so doing boost their confidence in their ability to develop and operate a new venture. Emphasis is placed on identifying available resources and then matching those resources with environmental opportunities. Teams of students pitch a new business idea, create a business model canvas, run the business for three weeks, and then present the plan and experience to a group of faculty and executives.
